Overview

A UX research initiative focused on optimizing the drawer component within Plug&Pay’s page builder. Through user analysis and interaction mapping, redesigned the drawer interface to reduce cognitive load and streamline workflow efficiency. Translates research insights into tangible design improvements—elevating builder usability across the platform.

What I Did

User analysis and interaction mapping.

I looked at how the drawer is actually used: which controls people reach for, in what order, and where the flow stalls. Interaction mapping turned that into a picture of the real hierarchy, rather than the one the interface implied.

[ To add — how many users you observed or spoke to, and which method you used. ]

A redesign aimed at cognitive load, not decoration.

The redesign reorganised the drawer around that hierarchy: fewer decisions on screen at any one moment, and a shorter path through the tasks people repeat all day.

Research translated into shipped improvements.

The work turned research insights into concrete design changes that raised builder usability across the platform.

[ To add — the outcome. What changed after it shipped, and how you know. ]
